Find Relief from Mystery Pain with Chiropractic Care | Kirkland, WA 98034

For years my fingers would tingle when I slept at night. It started out as an occasional nuisance, but over time it became a nightly occurrence. It didn’t matter which side I laid on, my fingers would go numb and then start tingling painfully. The pain would actually wake me up. I would lie in bed, flexing the sleeping hand until the tingling went away. Then I would roll to the other side and go back to sleep.

At first it didn’t bother me. It was occasional, and only a few fingers were affected. But then it started spreading and happening with greater frequency. After a few years had gone by, I could count on my entire hand waking me up with the feeling of pins and needles. I got really worried when the sensation started traveling up into my wrist and arm at night.

I talked to my doctor, but he had no idea what was going on with my hand. His feeling seemed to be that as long as it would go away with movement it wasn’t anything to worry about. But it was starting to affect my sleep and it was really scaring me!

Last year I visited PrimeSpine in Juanita. I wasn’t there for my hand at all. I was there for sciatic nerve pain that had flared up. The massage therapy worked wonders for my back and the adjustments made a huge difference in my sciatic nerve pain.

He told me that I had curvature at the top of my spine and compressed discs at the bottom. The lower spine was causing my sciatic nerve pain while the upper portion explained my tendency to throw my neck out of whack.

As the treatments went on and my back healed, I noticed that I was sleeping through the night. I was no longer waking up with my hand painfully throbbing with tiny pricks of misery. The healthier my back became, the less often my hands were waking me.

It’s been over 8 months now, and my back feels better than ever. I still have to be careful, of course, but Dr. Baker gave me a lot of tips for keeping the back straight. I am also thrilled to report that the tingling has receded to my fingertips again, and it only occurs every once in a while.

So the next time you are struggling with mystery pain that the doctor’s can’t resolve, visit Dr. Baker in Kirkland or Juanita to and give him a chance to help you.
